Sanctioned Tournaments and League events offer exciting opportunities to share your passion for Pokémon with other individuals just like you!... Organized Play events are sanctioned by The Pokémon Company International, so you can be sure the environment is safe, fair... and fun! Many events even have "Pokémon Professors" on hand to teach game basics, as well as to discuss strategy and to encourage sportsmanship!
Pokémon Organized Play events are designed for Pokémon fans of all ages and experience levels! League events offer a casual and fun environment where you can join up and play the Pokémon TCG or Pokémon Videogames. Then, when you're ready, look into the Championship Series and compete for a chance to be crowned a Pokémon World Champion! For even more fun, Organized Play participants can earn Player Rewards, which will make them eligible for special prizes. Pokémon League provides a nearby place for you to get together with other fans of both the TCG and the Pokémon Videogames to have some fun. Using your own cards and/or videogames, you can play, trade, and even earn cool prizes! The best part is that you can do all this with other Pokémon players, who love collecting and playing just as much as you do. Even if you don't know all the game rules, at a league, you can learn games basics, and in no time, perfect your strategies! Joining a league is the best way to hone your skills to compete in Pokémon Tournaments - from Battle Roads all the way up to World Championships. Leagues are held in safe, public locations, such as game stores, community centers, or libraries, and are run by official League Leaders.
Pokémon Tournament Overview:
Pokémon tournaments take place at stores worldwide, and offer a competitive atmosphere where trainers can meet each other in a friendly match. Players bring their own 60-card deck and compete to establish player ratings and rankings. Ratings and rankings are achieved based on individual match wins and losses in sanctioned Pokémon tournament play.
National Championships 2011:
The United States had a Pokémon TCG National Championship event from the 8th June to the 10th June 2011. This event was underway in Indianapolis! During these National Championship event, which was held for 3 days, competitors from all across the United States duked it out to earn prizes, brag rights, and much more!...
